In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there presented the results of investigation the application efficiency of basic growing methods of oil flax (Linum usitatissimum) cultivation. It was found out that the most favorable soil and climatic conditions for oil flax sowing in the north-east of Belarus were stated for the end of the last five days of April - early May. For oil flax of Brest variety the optimum seeding rate was 6-8 million germinating seeds per hectare. The optimal dose of nitrogen fertilizer at planting flax after grain preceding crop made 40-60 kg/ha active substance. In course of the study there was analyzed influence of nitrogen fertilizer doses on content of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium in seeds, straw, as well as expenses of N, P2O5 and K2O per 1 ton of seeds. There were presented data obtained in 2008-2010 on influence of sowing terms (optimal and with 10 and 20 days delay) on yielding capacity and yield structure of oil flax.
