In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented two-year results of researches on biological efficiency evaluation of a herbicide Tapyr, WC (imazetapyr, 100 g/l) at the rate 0,75-1,0 l/ha at pre-emergent application against weed vegetation in perennial dicotyledonous leguminous grasses (lamb's-quarters (Chenopodium album); black bindweed (Polygonum convolvulus); corn mayweed (Matricaria inodora); field penny-cress (Thlaspi arvense); winterweed (Stellaria media)), as well as monocotyledonous plants (barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli)). It was determined that the herbicide decreased the weed plant number in sowings of bird's-foot trefoil (Lotus cornicutus L.) crops for 82,6-90,6%, their weight – for 86,4-89,8%, in goat's rue (Galega orientalis L.) sowings for 82,4-89,2%, their weight for 84,8-90,3%. This made it possible to save the pure sowings in course of 40 days. According to the research results the Tapyr herbicide, WC was allowed for application in dose 0,75-1,0 l/ha before crop sproutings for goat's rue and bird's-foot trefoil crops weed protection.
