In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in 2009-2010 there were studied in important economically valuable traits, the duration of individual phases of vegetation of collection flax (Linum usitatissimum) varieties of different ecological, geographical and genetic origin. There were presented results of analysis of parameters of continuous variation and relationship (correlation) of 11 quantitative traits. There were identified oil flax genotypes which could be promising for practical selection: by trait 'yield' – Spartacus; SU-6-15; Namaless (K-1404); Baladi Tall; Minn 187; by trait 'oil content in a seed' – Lirina; Namaless (KF-1404); 3857; Querandi M.A.G; Maroccan sel.; NDR-174. The comparative analysis of contingence of variability of traits showed that for the studied varieties of oil flax was typical authentic (strong and considerable) connection between traits: plant height and technical length, number of capsules per plant and seed quantity per plant, number of capsules per plant and seed weight per plant.
