In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of field experiments of field attractive activity testing of synthesized in Belarus western corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera LeConte) pheromone compositions under pest mass development conditions (Zakarpatye area). As a result of the study there was determined the most attractive pheromone Divabat 8X1P which was used with the medical stopper dispenser in a glutinous pheromone trap of the type 'PAL' with a glue 'Unifleks'. There was specified a long-term dynamics of pest population number, Diabrotica's phenology in the Zakarpatye area. There were determined the optimum terms and adapted the Diabrotica monitoring technique in the conditions of Belarus. There were presented results of pheromone monitoring on detection of western corn rootworm at the border areas between Belarus and Poland. The realized methods made it possible to prevent the invasion of the analyzed pest of the territory of Belarus.
