In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized a primary evaluation of breeding and technological traits of seed hybrid progeny of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) obtained after opne-parental propagation. The results of experiments indicated the possibility of reproduction of commercial ms-hybrids without pollen (uniparental reproduction, A1 generation). Productivity and quality of root crops in the A1 generation was comparable with the commercial hybrids F1 of sugary area of breeding. Three samples of A1 generation (Lenturon, Iris and Roxana) did not differ from F1 hybrid Klarina (one of two standards) both by productivity and by sugar content. The comparison of the second standard (F1 hybrid Modus) with A1 generation of Roxana did not indicate a statistically significant difference by sugar content. However, a F1 hybrid Modus showed a statistically significant excess over two another A1 samples (Lenturon and Iris) both by productivity and by sugar content.
