Results of several years' studies of the phenology of reproduction of three river duck species: wild duck (Anas platyrhynchos), garganey (Anas querquedula) and shoveller (Anas clypeata) in the Pripyat river floodplain in the conditions of the republic of Belarus are presented. At present, April – May is considered to be best nesting season for the wild duck (Anas platyrhynchos), the second half of April – May – for garganey and shoveller (Anas querquedula and Anas clypeata) in the Pripyat floodplain. It was found that in the south of Belarus most of the wild duck hatches are able to fly in the third ten-day period of July – first two ten-day periods of August. Hatches of garganey and shoveller can fly mainly in the first two ten-day periods of August, but in years of the prolonged nesting season the process of «taking wings» may continue as long as till the second ten-day period of September.The spring fowling season was found to be ovelapped in terms with the river duck nesting season.
