In the Republic of Belarus in course of the research there was studied influence of different degrees of phytotoxicity of sodium and chlorine in soil on productivity and chemical composition of annual ryegrass (Lolium westerwoldicum) cultivated in the conditions of sodium, chlorine and chlorine-sodium pollution of luvisol loamy sandy soil. The research was realized by the Institute of Soil Sciences and Agrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2008-2009. As a result of realized research there was revealed accumulation in hay of Lolium westerwoldicum sodium and chlorine at different levels of pollution of soil. Correlation dependences between the content in soil of sodium and the content in Lolium westerwoldicum of phosphorus, potassium and calcium were established. The correlation coefficients between the sodium content in the soil and the phosphorus content in plants were r = 0.63 - with sodium chloride-contaminated, and r = 0.70 - for sodium contamination. There were presented indexes of different levels of yielding capacity and chemical composition of annual ryegrass under different levels of natrium and chlorine content.
