In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of research into the microelement composition of vegetative and generative organs of hybrid forms of epiphytic orchids of Phalaenopsis genus, cultivated in the conditions of the greenhouse of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. There was established a peculiarity of the studies plants to accumulate in cells increased concentrations of ions of manganese, zinc, copper and ferrum. There was also marked an ability of orchids to accumulate ultrahigh concentrations of ions of natrium and chlore which formed in plant cells sodium chloride salt. Concentrations of ions of sodium and chlorine, obtained during determination of these elements made it possible to relate the examined genus of orchids to accumulators of sodium chloride salt. High content of salts in cells of Phalaenopsis increased osmotic pressure. It increased resistance of epiphytes in the conditions of lack of moisture.
