In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized evaluation of the modern state of ichthyofauna of the Neman river along the continuum of water course in order to analyse structure and population quantity of young fish communities at different stretches of riverside shallow water areas of the river. Also there was realized a comparative analysis a dynamics of structure and historical aspects of fish community structure changes in 1986 and 2010. Research results showed that distribution of young fish species along the riverside shallow water areas at different river stretches of the Neman river in course of the modern studies (2007-2010) in general was similar to the data which were obtained at the same stretches of the water course and by the same methods earlier - in late 1980s. The lowest coefficient of cumulative changes of fish community structure of the riverside shallow water areas for same period was marked in the middle part of the water course - 0.47; the maximal one was stated at the upper part of the water course - 0.58.
