In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was analysed the current state of the ecosystem, composition of fish fauna and fishery resources of the lake Obsterno which is located in Vitebsk region of Belarus. In course of the study there was analysed dynamics of commercial fish catches, there were made calculations of commercial fish stock of wild stocks, provided recommendations for its use. Analysis of the obtained study materials showed lake Obsterno at the present moment could characterized as a weakly eutrophic pond with a weak pollution rate. The feeding stock of zooplankton was higher than average indexes. The major part of population was presented by copepoda. According to indexes of benthos development the lake had an average fodder base. Chironomids larvae formed the base of benthos organisms. Also there was analysed the amount of commercial fishing of commercial fish species. There was given a conclusion on the growth of eutrophication rate of the lake.
