In course of the research there was examined the influence of mixture fuel on the basis of rapeseed oil on operating indicators of tractors. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of the realized research it was described the studies of alternative types of fuel in power plants of tractors. The main part of the article, on the basis of calculations, presented draught characteristics for the work of tractor 'Belarus 922' at set modes and at moving along horizontal plot. Results show that for the tractor which working on mixed fuel instead of pure diesel one it is necessary to increase hour consumption of mixed fuel for keeping the speed and hook power of the tractor constant. Consequently, specific consumption of fuel would be also increased. However, application of mixed fuel would help to reduce the consumption of pure diesel fuel by the tractor. Thus, when the content of rape oil in the mixture is 10, 20, 30 and 40%, the amount of diesel fuel saved would not exceed 8.9, 18, 27.3 and 36.9%, respectively.
