In course of the stationary experiments and short-term studies there was studied the effect of various methods of soil cultivation on weediness and productivity of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) in a crop rotation. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus at the Experimental Scientific Station on Sugar Beet on sod-podzolic loamy sand soil, underlain from depth 50-70 cm by sandy loam. As a result of the realized research it was found that the use of soil conservation technologies did not render a negative influence on the productivity of sugar beet coenosis. Weediness of crops depended on some attendant factors, such as way of pre-sowing treatment, kind of organic fertilizers, use of soil cultivation system and herbicides in a part of the crop rotation. The efficiency of various herbicides was studied against the background of manure application (60 t/ha) and without its use at moldboard plowing and surface tillage (disking). Under sugar beet the mineral fertilizers in a dose N120P90K150B0.85 was used.
