Influencia de Trichoderma harzianum A-34 en la germinación de las semillas de majagua (Talipariti elatum (Sw.) Fryxell)

Spanish; Castilian. Las semillas de majagua (Talipariti elatum (Sw.) Fryxell) tienen una germinación errática, frecuentemente muy baja, y presentan dormancia. Trichoderma spp. ha probado tener potencial para estimular la germinación en diferentes especies, incluidos algunas forestales en Cuba. Se evaluaron tres tratamientos y compararon con un testigo para mejorar la rapidez y nivel de germinación, que incluyeron la hidratación de las semillas por 48 h antes del montaje del ensayo, el tratamiento de las semillas con conidios de T. harzianum A-34 y la combinación de ambos. Las semillas se mantuvieron en bandejas sobre papel de filtro humedecido dentro de una incubadora a 30°C. Remojar las semillas por 48 h y después tratarlas con T. harzianum incrementó la germinación a más del doble que el testigo. Los demás tratamientos aumentaron en solo diez días, un tercio del tiempo establecido para la evaluación de la viabilidad. Estos resultados podrían introducirse en los análisis de laboratorio para reducir la estancia de las muestras y en la producción de posturas en los viveros.

English. Mahoe seeds (Talipariti elatum (Sw.) Fryxell) had an erratic germination and frequently very low so with dormancy. Trichoderma spp. has proved its potential to stimulate germination in different plant species, including some other forestry in Cuba. Three different treatments were evaluated and compared with a control to improve germination and the speed of it. They included seeds wetting for 48 hours before starting the assay, seed treatment with Trichoderma harzianum A-34 conidia and the combination of both. The seeds were kept in trays on wet filter paper in an incubator at 30°C. Wetting the seeds for 48 hours and treating them with T. harzianum increased more than double compared with the control, the other treatments increased in only 10 days, one third the time established for the final evaluation of seeds viability. These results could be introduced in laboratory analysis to reduce the samples stay and seedlings production.
