Production and exports determinates for the major Egyptian export products

The goal of this study is to know factors affecting cultivated areas for products under study (Potatoe, Onion, Tomato and Garlic) through studing the supply response function for each crop. In addition, this the study aimed to understand factors that affect the quantity export from each crop under study to the major Egyptian export market, and this by using the quantity export functions. In the end the study will examine the price elasticity for the exported quantity to each market. Real prices have been used for both farm gate prices and the net revenues for the products understudy from the period 1994 till 2007. study emphasize to the importance of creating more markets for these crops under study, instead adopting trade diversion policy for these crops. In addition to this we have to solve the problems that exports are from export information and quality of the exported products. Also enhance the role of co-operatives to protect producers that produce to exports their products, and to export through the co-operatives. In addition to this must be available at a reasonable prices and to increase the areas for this export products in the new and desert since these lands are not spoiled and can produce better quality for exports
