Effect of polyamines pretreatments on the activity of antioxidant enzymes in salt stressed wheat plants

A pot experiment was conducted to study the effect of polyamines pretreatments, putrescine (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mM) or spermine ( 2,4, 6,8 and 10 mM),on the activity of catalas, peroxidase, and polyphenol oxidase in salt stressed wheat plants. NaCl (0.0, 6000, 8000,10000 ppm) led to a gradual increase in the activity of catalase, peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase in wheat plants. On the other hand, activity of antioxidant enzymes was decreased by the application of different polyamines treatments, especially with higher levels, in plants grown under salt stress (6000, 8000 and 10000 ppm NaCI)
