Collection and Identification of Lichens or Iran.

Lichens flora of Iran in five years have been investigated. During this time the Lichens of the different habitats such as forest, steppes and sea shore in the froms of epiphytic saxicolous and terresterial specimens have been collected. After preparing the materials all the geographyica ldate informatinn have bee written in the standard ethickets, then the Lichen speicmens have been put in the standard envelops with full information. For identification of the collected specimens the auther used nearly all publiched litrature and for full revision and confirmation part of the duplicates have been sent to Berlin, Hambourg and Italy, then the full scientific names were received. At the moment about 7000 herbarium speciemen in the standard form have bee preserved in dopatrment of Botany in Research Institute. During this short time the first lichen check list was published.
