The present paper discusses weed research prioritization through a scientific method. Discussion is based on findings from a survey, which was conducted over different countryside of neyshabour during 2003-2004. Weed risk assessment method was employed. 75 fields of wheat and barely, cotton, maze and potato were incorporated in the survey. Results revealed that there is urgent priority to work out common occurrence weeds in wheat, sugar beet, cotton and maze based rotations, including pigweed, lambsquarter, alhagi, nutsedge and few other weeds. Wild oat, barleys, wild rye, ryegrass and thistle in wheat fields holds second rank;dodder in sugar beet was attributed as third class. Having field observations on various aspects of weeds for a period of time enables experts to predict weed dynamics, therefore it is recommended to record weed population parameters every often time.
