This research carried out to determining ecotype, sex and fattening length effects on native goats of Bushehr province, recommending to producers. For this, 96 heads of Bushehr native kides include 48 heads of black hairy kids and 48 heads of short hair kids (24 male and 24 female kids from each ecotype) were used in a factorial experiment with completely randomized design. Factors included native goat ecotypes of Busher province with 2 levels (short hair and black hairy), fattening period with 4 levels (2, 3, 4 and 5 months) and sex with 2 levels (male and female). Each factor includes 3 repeats and each repeat includes 2 kids. At the end of each fattening period, half of kids in each group were slaughtered. Body organs were removed and weighed, and the carcass was dissected base on local method. Results showed that, there was no significant difference between daily weight gain, daily feed intake and feed conversion of male and female kids (p0.05). Short hair kids had significant difference with native black kids only at daily feed intake and had higher mean (p0.05). Fattening period had no significant difference on daily feed intake (p0.05), but 2-monthes fattened kids showed significant difference with other groups in daily feed intake and with 3-monthes fattened kids in feed conversion (p0.05). Interaction effect of sex vs ecotype, fattening period vs ecotype and all factors with together, had no significant difference on carcass characterstics (p0.05). Interaction effect of sex vs fattening period showed significant difference on feed conversion (p0.05). Hot carcass weight, cold carcass weight and dressing percentage were not significantly affected by sex (p0.05), but the average of this characteristics were higher in short hair kids than native black kids and observed significant difference between them (p0.05). Fattening periods and interaction effects of factors, had various significant effects on carcass characteristics (p0.05). The percentage of meat and bone in half carcass of male kids, significantly increased than females (P0.05), but for the percentage of fat in half carcass, was reversely (P0.05). The percentage of meat in half carcass of short hair kids, significantly increased than black kids (P0.05), but for the percentage of bone in half carcass, was reversely (P0.05). Also there was no significant difference between the percentage of fat in half carcass of short hair and black kids (P0.05). Fattening periods had various significant effects on the percentage of meat, fat and bone in half carcass of kids (p0.05). Interaction effects had no significant effect on the mentioned characters (P0.05). Finally, with regard to the effect of all factors on calculated economic index (benefit to cost ratio), con say that only fattening of male black kids for 2 monthes and male short hair for 5 monthes, economically profitable.
