Cross breeding effects on carcass performances of fourIranian pigeon breeds

192 adult male and female pigeons were use in 4 treatments (with local names : Parvazi, Teezpar , Kabood and Namebar ). Any treatmeant had 4 replications and all of the birds were randomly placed in single cages with use of speciale map and table of cross breeding. (Each cage had 2 adult birds, male & female as replication). The squabs were separated from the parents in 30 days old , weighted after 12 hours of hunger and slaughtered immediately. Their diet was; plated grains with %18 of protein and 3987 cal/gr of energy. Feeding was ad libitum. The datum of carcass analysis including: live weight, carcass weight and sections of breast, neck and back, wings and legs were measured.The datum were analised with statical programs "spss" and "sas". The effect of sex and race on body weight(30 days) between treatments was significant statistically (P0/01). The auxiliary variates of paternal and maternal weights were significant statistically too (P0/01). The differences between races Namebar and Tizpar were significant statistically(P0/01). And the differences between races Parvazi and Tizpar were significant statistically(P0/05).
