Evaluation of Bread Wheat Genotypes in International Observation and Yield Trial Nurseries

The present study was undertaken to identify and select desirable bread wheat genotypes under rainfed condition. Total of 401 lines were received in four different international nurseries, including 4th Winter Wheat Observation Nursery-Semi Arid Area (4th-WWON-SA), 10th Facultative and Winter Wheat Observation Nursery (loth -FAWWON) ,Wheat Observation Nursery-Dry Area (WON-D), and 51h Elite Yield trial -Rainfed Area (5th -EYTRF) , with 113, 143, 120, and 25 entries, respectively. The entries were compared with the local checks, Sardari (bread wheat check). Selection was mainly based on the field performance and appearance. Out of the 401 genotypes, 82 genotypes were selected for the next season to be evaluated more precisely.
