Evaluation of Durum Wheat Genotypes in International Observation and Yield Trial Nurseries

The present study was undertaken to identify and select desirable durum wheat genotypes under rainfed condition. Total of 72 lines received in two international nurseries, i.e. International Durum Observation Nursery (DON-HAA) with 48 entries, and Int. Durum Yield Trial (DYT-MCA) with 24 entries were compared with the local checks, Sardari. (bread wheat check) and Zardak (durum wheat check). Selection was mainly based on the field performance and appearance. Out of the 72 genotypes, 28 genotypes were selected for the next season to be evaluated more precisely.
