In order to identification fungi pathogens involving sugar beet root rot and their distribution area in Hamedan prorince , this study carried out during 1999-2000 growing seasons . Number of fields in each region based on sugarbeet cultivation area determined. Diseases samples of sugar beet from seedling to mature were collected and transferred t6 laboratory for distinguishes of pathogens. Infected roots washed and surface strilized using 1% sodium hypochlorite and plated on acidified PDA. After purified isolates pathogenicity test was carried out on seedling or adult plants depend to the kind of pathogen, and improved that 6 genius of fungi involving in root rot of sugarbeet in Hamedan province included Fusarium spp. (97 isolates) Rhizoctonia solani (35 isolates), crophomina phaseolina (21 isolates), pythium spp. ( 12 isolates) , phytophthora drechsleri (8 isolates) and Rhizopus arrhizus (7 isolates). Results of this study showed that often sugarbeet fields in Hamedan province more or less infected to root rot diseases and more sever in Nahavand, Mallayer and Asadabad with average 61/4%:, 58/3% , 56/8% infected fields respectivelly.
