The following items had been investigated in the doctoral thesis: assessed features of the professional competence and opportunities of reaching them in the studies of geodesy; elaboration, testing and implementation of the didactic model: suitability for students of different learning styles and with different levels of knowledge and skills in exact subjects; opportunities of application of exemplary study principles at university and out of university study environment as well as assessing and arranging the content of laboratory works (central, subordinated and linking theme groups) in relation to the content of lectures; development of professional competence of the Land Management speciality students in their studies of geodesy. The aim of the doctoral thesis is to substantiate the development of the professional competence in the studies of geodesy, assessing features of Professional competence and opportunities of reaching them and approbating and implementing the designed didactical model of geodesy studies. It is substantiated in the thesis that the designed and implemented didactic model of the studies of geodesy contributes to the development of professional competence of the Land Management speciality students and that the model can be applied also with other exact studies courses.

Latvian. Promocijas darbā pētīti sekojoši jautājumi: profesionālās kompetences rādītāji un to sasniegšanas iespējas ģeodēzijas studijās; ģeodēzijas studiju didaktiskā modeļa izstrāde, pārbaude un īstenošana: piemērotība studentiem ar dažādiem mācīšanās stiliem un atšķirīgu zināšanu un prasmju līmeni eksaktajos priekšmetos; eksemplāro studiju principu izmantošanas iespējas studiju vidēs augstskolā un ārpus tās, kā arī izvērtējot un sakārtojot laboratorijas darbu saturu (centrālās, pakārtotās un pārejas tematu grupas) sakarībā ar lekciju saturu; profesionālās kompetences veidošanās ģeodēzijas studijās Zemes ierīcības specialitātes studentiem. Promocijas darba mērķis ir pamatot profesionālās kompetences veidošanos ģeodēzijas studijās, izvērtējot profesionālās kompetences rādītājus un to sasniegšanas iespējas un aprobējot un īstenojot izstrādāto ģeodēzijas studiju didaktisko modeli. Promocijas darbā pamatots, ka izstrādātais un īstenotais ģeodēzijas studiju didaktiskais modelis veicina profesionālās kompetences veidošanos Zemes ierīcības specialitātes studentiem un ka šo modeli var izmantot arī citos eksaktos studiju kursos.
