[Study on the estimating method of resistance to the lodging of maize hybrids]. [Korean]

For the breeding of dwarf maize hybrid which has resistance to the lodging, the line should be a little different in height even in high density of 40 plants per pyong, and the rooting angle as to 30 degree, and the large area of root and the high content of moisture in stems. The resistance to the stem lodging can be estimated by the measurement of moisture content in the stem between 3rd and 4th node in stage of ripeness.
