In Hungary, bony half-swine and quarter cattle are transported without package, hung up, in special refrigerator or "thermos" cars, chopped meat is put into circulation without packaging in plastic cases. The only form of pre-packaging is the make-up of raw meat on consumers' tray (packaging materials: polystyrol foam tray with elastic PVC cover, PVC or PP hard plastic tray, shrinking PVC or PE film. This is connected with such problems as: the exudating sap of the meat may flow off, storability is short, collective packaging is difficult, transportability is low. The most wide-spread consumers' make-up is the conventional paper cover exclusively for use in shops, for this purpose there is well-established refrigerating equipment.
