Elasticity of mango production with respect to farmgate price was 0.30 while the elasticity of domestic demand for mango with respect to domestic wholesale price was 0.17. The elasticity of demand for mango exported to Malaysia with respect to domestic wholesale price and exchange rate were 1.32 and 15.02 respectively. The elasticity of demand for mango exported to Hong Kong with respect to domestic wholesale price and exchange rate were 1.01 and 3.01 respectively. The elasticity of demand for mango exported to Singapore with respect to domestic wholesale price, exchange rate and competitive price of Phillippines mango were 0.10, 3.01 and 0.15, respectively. An increase in an exchange rate by 17.39 % would increase the mango production, import demand for Malaysia, import demand for Hong Kong, import demand for Singapore, domestic wholesale price by 0.83, 945.60, 51.90, 4.59 and 7.38 % on the average, respectively. The domestic demand would decrease by 1.19 % on the average but the net social welfare would decrease substantially. The results of forecasting(covering the period of 1987-1992) showed that domestic demand, import demand for Thai mango from Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore were at the average of 506,697.9, 15,069.7, 377.4 and 2,133.0 tons per year, respectively. The average domestic wholesale price was 6.4 baht per kg.
