There were examined 11 alfalfa genotypes and among them a hybrid produced on the basis of male cytoplasmic sterility. According to the results obtained it was concluded that the highest dry matter yields were produced by the genotypes L-19 PHP, 6-17 ERC, and the F1 hybrids (over 16.0 t/ha) while the lowest ones were produced by L-11 TRP and L-12 LVP. The nitrogen content in dry matter ranged from 3.50% to 3.74%. The average crude proteins yield ranged from 3,731 kg/ha in L-11 TRP to 4.336 kg/ha in L-19 PHP.
