Investigation was carried out into the productive value of 5 hybrid inbred lines of blue and yellow alfalfa, and 10 inbred lines of blue alfalfa. The highest dry matter green mass yields, 25.4 t/ha and 1133.6 t/ha respectively, were rendered by the inbred line of blue alfalfa S-11 while slightly lower ones, 18.7 t/ha and 84.5 t/ha respectively, were rendered by the hybrid inbred line M-3. The highest crude protein content (19.90%) was observed in the inbred line S-18 and slightly lower in the hybrid inbred line M-3 (19.80%). The highest crude cellulose content was observed in the inbred line S-20 (24.7%).
