BAHASA: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai nutrisi dan kandungan mineral 7 jenis limbah pertanian yang berasal dari 10 kabupaten di Sulawesi Selatan, yaitu : jerami padi, jerami jagung, jerami kedele, jerami kacang tanah, daun singkong, daun ubi jalar dan pucuk tebu. Terhadap 114 contoh limbah pertanian tersebut dilakukan analisa proksimat : bahan kering (BK), protein kasar (PK) ekstrak eter (EE), serat kasar (SK), bahan ekstrak tanpa nitrogen (BETN) dan abu; fraksi-fraksi serat: komponen dinding sel (NDF), ADF, hemicellulose, cellulose, lignin dan silica; daya cerna bahan organik in vitro (IVOMD); dan kandungan meneral Ca, P, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Co, Mo dan Se. Sebagian besar limbah pertanian yang dianalisa mempunyai rata-rata kandungan PK rendah (<8 persen), kecuali daun singkong yang mengandung 22,3 persen PK. Kandungan SK relatif tinggi (>- 20 persen) dengan kandungan SK pada jerami kedele adalah yang tertinggi (40,8 persen). Nilai IVOMD yang tertinggi adalah pada jerami kacang tanah (60,0 persen) dan terendah pada jerami padi (30,5 persen). Semua limbah pertanian yang dianalisa mempunyai kandungan mineral P, Na, Cu, Zn, dan Se rendah, sementara kandungan Fe relatif tinggi. Dari komposisi zat makanan, diperoleh gambaran pemanfanfaatan limbah pertanian dalam ransum ternak ruminansia yang terutama adalah sebagai sumber energi, disamping daun singkong yang bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber protein.
Show more [+] Less [-]English. This study was conducted to determine the nutritive value and mineral content of 7 agricultural residues collected from 10 regencies in South Sulawesi. Those were; rice straws, corn stalks, soybean straws, peanut straws, cassava leaves, sweet potato leaves and sugarcane tops. One hundred and fourteen samples were subjected to proximate analysis: dry-matter, crude protein, ether extract, crude fiber, nitrogen free extract and ash; fiber fraction analysis: cell wall component (NDF), ADF, hemicellulose, cellulose, lignin and silica; in vitro organic matter digestibility (IVOMD); and mineral analysis : Ca, P, Mg, K, Na, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Co, Mo and Se. The majority of samples analyzed were low in crude protein (< 8 percent), except for cassava leaves which have 22.3 percent crude protein. The crude fiber contents were relatively high (- 20 %) with that of soybean straws was the highest (40.8 percent). The highest value of IVOMD was in peanut straw (60.0 percent) and the lowest was in rice straws (30.5 percent). All of the residues analyzed were low in P, Na, Cu, Zn, and Se, while Fe was relatively high. Reflected from the nutrient composition, the primary usages of these residues in ruminant rations will be as energy sources, besides cassava leaves that may also be as protein sources.
