Effects of mating of sows and boars in warm and cold seasons of the year have been investigated. Most sows farrowed on the 114 th and 115 th day. During the utilization all sows showed oestrus on the average 8.14 days after weaning. During the first 9 days after weaning 69.1 to 70.4% sows have been inseminated successfully in August, October and September and 79.6 to 81.0% in March, April, February and May. In June 75% sows concieved successfully. In the warm season 48.33% of the total number of fertil sows, or 12.08% per month, gave birth. Lactation lasting 22 to 33 days did not affect notably the period between weaning and occurrence of oestrus and successful fertilization. The number of liveborn piglets increased from first to sixth farrowing, to decrease further on until the 12 th farrowing. The number of still-born piglets per litter was small. All investigated sows gave birth to 9.95 totally born piglets. The average weight of all piglets on the second day was 1.48 kg and on the 21 st day it was 5.10 kg. All sows were eliminated from breeding at the age of 802.26 days. The average number of totally born piglets depended on the age of sows. The obtained results have justified utilization of the investigated half-breeds for breeding.
