In the soil of pH 6-7, nitrogen density 20 ppm, phosphorus and potassium 60-100 ppm and salt 0.05%, the metabolism of Ongjin reed is optimum, and the metabolism quantity is high, and the quality of fibre is good. By period of the growth, the direction of metabolism is changed, and nutrition is absorbed according to it. In reed plant, the content rate of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Si maintains as follows; 1:0.19; 1.29:0.20; 0.24; 1.14. It was effective to apply N 200 kg and P, K, 100-150 kg, dressing times N:3 times and P, K: one time.
