The present study was undertaken to find out the possibility of mechanical transmission of stephanofilarial dermatitis and to study the course of the disease by keeping affected animals in fly-proof shed. The findings indicated that the disease was probably not transmitted by mechanical implantation of the parasites on scarified skin.
