An investigation of soil conditions of farmers' holdings in Nevis. USAID/CARDI Small Farms Study.

Soils of 41 parcels of land were examined and classified to the series level based on the US Taxonomy System. Observations on past and present land-use of parcels were made with the help of farmer interviews. Soil was analysed for fertility characteristics and general recommendations for soil management made. Detailed chemical and physical characteristics of the soils are tabulated. Soils fall into either Order Mollisol or Alfisol.
