This work contains the results of a research on the contents and seasonal changes of the N, P, K, Ca and Mg macronutrients in the bearing wood of the cv. Bartlett pear, grafted on a seedling. Seasonal fluctuations were found in all of the studied macronutrients, and while it was the greatest in calcium and potassium, it was the lowest in phosphorus. All macronutrients, except Ca, were lower in content during vegetation than during the resting period of the fruit trees. One year old bearing wood had the highest content of macronutrients, but with age, this content decreased, with the exception of calcium.
