English. The situation regarding the worldwide supply and demand of table grapes is analyzed as well as the position of Italy within this context. Careful examination of world trade and the organization of distribution in the main importing countries of Europe, though on one hand emphasize the relevant position of Italy - at least within Europe - on the other hand indicate in the organized pulverization of production and commerce its weakness in relation to the market. Until now, this weakness has not had repercussions on the export flux because Italy continues to be the most important producer country of Europe, but, in time, this can bring about negative situations, both because other grape-producing countries like Spain and Greece may become more significantly present on the European market, and also because it does not appear that the Italian organization regarding production and trade is now working sufficiently to adequate itself to meet the demands of modern distribution, now strongly consolidated in almost all the rich countries of the European Economic Community and of Western Europe.
Show more [+] Less [-]ITALIANO: Si analizzano le situazioni dell'offerta e della domanda dell'uva da tavola nel mondo ed in quest'ambito le posizioni dell'Italia. La disamina sul commercio mondiale e sull'organizzazione distributiva nei principali paesi importatori dell'Europa, se da un canto mette in evidenza la rilevante posizione dell'Italia, almeno in ambito europeo, dall'altra consente di indicare nella polverizzazione organizzativa della produzione e del commercio la sua debolezza dei rapporti con il mercato. Finora tale debolezza non ha avuto ripercussioni sul flusso esportativo perche' l'Italia continua ad essere il piu' importante paese produttore d'Europa, ma nel medio-lungo termine potrebbe determinare situazioni negative sia perche' altri paesi produttori, come Spagna e Grecia, possono essere significativamente presenti sul mercato europeo, sia perche' non pare che l'organizzazione produttiva e commerciale italiana stia lavorando adeguatamente per adattarsi alle richieste della distribuzione moderna, ormai fortemente consolidata in quasi tutti i ricchi Paesi della Comunita' Economica Europea e dell'Europa occidentale.
