Plant parasitic nematodes of vineyards on the territory of Slavonia and Baranja (Yugoslavia) were found in a great number in soil, at the depth up to 100 cm and even up to 150 cm. The most numerous were nematodes from the genera, Helicotylenchus, Paratylenchus, Pratylenchus, Tylenchorhynchus and Xiphinema. Some of the present species of Longidoridae family were virus vectors of grape vine.
