Variation of quantitative characters and correlation coefficients in Mat Rush (Juncus effusus L.) cultivars.
1988
Kwon B.S. | Lee J.I.
This experiment was carried out for estimating genetic parameters, such as heritability, the phenotypic and genotypic correlation of major agronomic characters of 38 cultivars in mat rush. Heritability of flowering date, number of stem per plant, fresh weight of stem, dry weigth of long stem, dry weight of middle stem and dry weight of short stem were higher, but that of maturing date and stem length were relatively lower. The genotypic correlation coefficients between number of stem per plant and dry weight of long stem, and between dry weight of middle stem and dry weight of total stem showed highly positive correlation, and number of stem per plant, fresh weight, dry weight of long stem and dry weight of middle stem were significantly correlated with yield dry weight of total stem, those characters gave high direct effect as same level in path-coefficient analysis.
