La maladie du rabougrissement de l' arachide: caracterisation symptomatologique et serologique de nouveaux isolats du peanut clump virus (PCV) du Senegal.
1995
Ndiaye M. | Dollet M.
Surveys of peanut viral diseases in Senegal during the rainy seasons of 1990 and 1992 showed a wide distribution of peanut clump virus. The virus was even identified on fields in the Senegal River and Fatick Regions, where peanut was grown for the very first time. The distribution and symptoms of infected plants differed according to the areas. Twenty six PCV isolates maintained by grafts on healthy peanut plants were characterised by induced symptoms on diverse hosts, type of viral particles, and DAS-, DAC-, or INDAS-ELISA with one polyclonal and 8 monoclonal antibodies anti-PCV. Six aerological groups including three new ones were defined. No relationship was found between different serological groups, mechanical transmission properties, induced symptoms and geographical origin of the isolates. All serological groups are present in the area around Bambey.
