Winter wheat hybrids from the aspect of their utilization in selection for quality.
1991
Rychtarik J. | Fencik R.
The lines originated from 5 hybrid combinations were compared in selection for quality. Biological material was obtained from the experiments after genetic analysis of Butin variety by Akselo-Johnson's method. As a female parent, SK 3756 (CS), M. Madler (GB), TAW 39048 (D), Roazon (F), and Trakija (BG) were used. In F4 generation, the protein content, sedimentation value and proportion of albumin nitrogen in total nitrogen amount were assessed. The highest protein content and protein variability were found in Roazon x Butin lines, but the best possibilities in selection for technological and nutritive quality were provided by the progeny of M. Madler x Butin combination. Positive correlation between total protein content and sedimentation and negative relation between total protein content and albumin nitrogen content were detected.
