A complex agrotechnical survey has been carried out on 14 peasant farms in Latvia in the regions of Kuldiga, Valmiera and Rezekne to determine the soil changes after liming. The results of the survey have been analysed. The effect of liming on crop yields is discussed. The importance of proper liming of soil on peasant farms is emphasized.
