The aim of this experiment was to determine the effect of different quantities and combinations of mineral and organic fertilization on the nitrogen dynamics in two soil types, as well as economic and technological properties of sugar beet. The nitrate content and their dynamics were related to climatic conditions (the amount and distribution of rainfall during winter and vegetation period) and fertilization. The fertilization also influenced sugar beet yield, sugar content and polarization. The best results were obtained with organic fertilizers.
