Some edible aquatic weeds [Philippines].

This paper lists edible aquatic weeds belonging to 36 species under 26 families. Their edible parts and culinary methods are mentioned. The mineral composition of the weeds are similar to those of other plants. However, the weeds have higher moisture content. Alternanthra philoxcroides Griseb., a forage crop, can be used as food for humans owing to its richness in proteins and minerals.
