[Seroepidemiological studies of most common viral infections in Lithuanian swine farms]. [English]

The results of serological survey have been studied for some viral infections in Lithuanian swine farms during 1997-1999. Porcine parvovirus infection, porcine rotavirus infection, transmissible gastroenteritis and (or) porcine respiratory coronavirus infection have been found to be enzootic in all swine farms. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome has been found in 5 of 8 swine farms (62.5%). Pseudorabies has been diagnosed in 1 out 22 swine farms. This case of pseudorabies was diagnosed in 1997. In 1998 this farm began the eradication program of this disease and finished it in 1999. The further studies of this farm will show the effectiveness of the performance.
