There is disclosed a bacterial insecticide comprising spores and parasporal inclusions of PG-14, Bacillus thuringiensis Subsp. Morrisoni (Satotype 8a:8b) which has high and preferential toxicity against mosquito larvae but non-toxic to human, domestic animals and wildlife. This bacterial insecticide can be used directly or in combination with a suitable carrier for the control of mosquito larvae.
