Changing environmental needs.

Describes Biocycle, an anaerobic sewage treatment system. Biocycle anaerobic treatment plants used for single dwellings and small commercial concerns differ from other treatment plants because a primary chamber is used for anaerobic digestion of solids and a medium, submerged in a special aeration compartment is used for the aerobic treatment of liquids. There are now almost 4000 domestic Biocycle systems in operation in Australia and about 200 larger commercial units. The largest of these, at an abattoir, has a daily capacity of 750,000 litres.
