Effect of row spacing (30, 40, 50 and 60 cm) on productivity and forage quality and seed yield of forage mallow was studied for two years. In two years average highest yield was obtained with row spacing of 40 cm. Correlation coefficient between crop density and forage yield is not statistically significant. Depending on year and crop density dry matter and crude protein yield is as similar as green forage yield. Content of crude protein in leaf is 23.00, in stem 5.17, while in the whole plant it depends on the leaf-stem ratio and on the average it is 14.16. Leaf has higher portion in yield of upper biomass per plant, than stem in all studied treatments. In average leaf, stem and branches ratio in 1993 is 50.6 : 42.1 : 7.3, and in 1994 53.2 : 41.0 : 7.0. Crop density influences the seed yield per unit of area, but not the seed yield per plant.
