Of the waste substances used to treat loess soil planted with mustard swine slurry increased the number of bacteria growing in the soil extract medium whereas cattle slurry, aggregated swine slurry and sulphur floration wastes decreased the numbers of spore-forming bacteria. All substances under study stimulated the growth of anaerobic bacteria.
