4 group of 4 animals each and received three different silage species; pearl millet, corn, sorghum and fresh cut paragrass for a control group, plus 500 g/head/day of 12 percent protein concentrate. The laboratory analysis of the four roughages were 5.98, 6.18, 5.38 and 6.01 percent protein, respectively, and were statistically different ADF values were 47.77, 44.85, 45.55 and 41.91, NDF values were 64.98, 69.03, 66.57 and 62.26, respectively, and were statistically different. The growth results showed that the average daily gain were 90.50, 100.50, 89.50 and 98.00 gram/head/day with no statistically difference occured. The feed conversion values were 5.65, 4.80, 8.44 and 3.56 with statistically different occured. The slaughter weight were 26.67, 26.30, 25.45 and 24.58 kilogram, respectively and were not statistically different. The dressing percentage were 45.85, 44.75, 44.40 and 41.53 percent, respectively, and were statistical different. The Loin eye area (LEA) were 13.00, 12.50, 12.38 and 9.25 square cm, respectively, and were statistically different. The tastes panel results on the Longissium dorsi (LD) and Biceps femoris (BF) samples showed no statistically different results on the tenderness, juiciness, flavor and overall satisfaction traits. The Warner-Bratzler shear value results of the LD were 3.33, 3.40, 3.53 and 3.30 kg/square cm, respectively, and was not statistically different, while the BF mean values were 8.61, 8.73, 5.48 and 6.05 kg/square cm, respectively, and were not statistically different.
