ITALIANO: Vengono riportati i risultati di una ricerca tendente a verificare la situazione ambientale riscontrata nelle acque del fiume Alcantara in prossimita' della foce. I dati ottenuti da analisi effettuate nel tempo (anni 1986-1990) hanno fornito un'attendibile valutazione media delle concentrazioni analitiche dei metalli pesanti immessi nel fiume e principalmente dovuti ad attivita' umane. In conclusione, le escursioni riscontrate nei valori degli elementi considerati (Ni, Cr, Cu, Pb, Cd e As) si sono rivelate mediamente dipendenti da fattori stagionali, mentre la generale eterogeneita' dipende da numerose variabili continue nel tempo e nello spazio.
Show more [+] Less [-]English. The results of a research aimed to the environmental situation found in the waters of Alcantara near the mouth of the River are presented. The data, obtained from analysis made in five years (1986-1990), have given a reliable mean evaluation of heavy metal concentration in the river and mainly caused by human activities. At least, the variations of each chemical element considered (Ni, Cr, Cu, Pb, Cd and As) depend from seasonal factors, while the general heterogeneity is due to a lot of continuous variables in time and space.
