The calves were given bacterial preparation LBC Cornelle, which included Streptococcus faecium strains, in milk till 2 months or in water in the third month of life. The authors didn't state the influence of LBC preparatiion on feed efficiency, growth rate as well as on the content of morphological and chemical blood compounds. The LBC preparation neither acted preventively on the appearance of inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract with the symptoms of diarrhoea nor alleviated the course of the disease.
